Liability Waiver and Terms
⚠️ DANGER – RISK OF SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH ⚠️
IMMEDIATE SAFETY WARNINGS – DO NOT IGNORE
DO NOT USE ANY SHOWER SHOCK–STYLE SYSTEM IF:
You are under 18 years old.
You have heart, blood pressure, respiratory, neurological, or circulatory problems unless a licensed doctor has given you explicit clearance.
You are pregnant.
You are alone in the home (always have another adult present in the home in case of emergency).
STOP IMMEDIATELY AND SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION IF YOU FEEL:
Dizziness, faintness, or confusion
Numbness or tingling that does not quickly improve
Shortness of breath or trouble breathing
Chest pain or tightness
Irregular, racing, or “skipping” heartbeat
Any other severe or unusual symptoms
RISK OF WATER LEAKS & PROPERTY DAMAGE:
Test all connections for leaks before first use and regularly thereafter.
Failing to check for leaks can cause serious flooding, water damage, and mold.
ELECTRICAL HAZARD:
Use only a low-voltage (12V DC) pump powered by a battery or power supply kept completely outside the shower and away from splash zones.
Do not use any pump that plugs directly into a household AC outlet inside the shower or within reach of spray.
If you ever use an AC-powered pump, it must be plugged into a properly installed GFCI outlet and located far enough away that it cannot be splashed or reached from the shower.

• To the fullest extent permitted by law, and only for claims based on ordinary negligence, Provider’s total liability for any claims relating to this Guide or any System you build from it is limited to the amount you paid for the Guide.
• This limitation does not apply to liability, if any, for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or violations of law that cannot be limited under California Civil Code §1668 or other applicable law.
g. Limitation Where Not Fully Enforceable:
• In any jurisdiction that does not allow certain limitations or exclusions, Provider’s liability will be limited to the minimum extent permitted by applicable law.
a. Indemnification:
• You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Provider (Sean Prentice / Shower Shock) from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to third-party claims resulting from:
– Your assembly, installation, or use of the Guide or any System you build from it;
– Your breach of these terms; or

c. Local Codes & Water Pressure/Leaks:
• You are solely responsible for ensuring all connections are secure, leak-free, and comply with all local building and plumbing codes.
• Failure to do so can result in significant property damage and potential injury.
a. Ongoing Monitoring:
• You must inspect all connections for leaks before first use and regularly thereafter, and immediately discontinue use if any moisture, irregular sounds, or performance issues are detected.
a. Marketing Integration Clause:
• All marketing materials, advertisements, social media content, testimonials, and performance discussions are expressly incorporated into and subject to the limitations of this Disclaimer.
• No statement made in any marketing channel shall create an express warranty or modify the "AS IS" nature of the System.
b. "Results May Vary" Standard:
• Any discussion of potential benefits, user experiences, or research findings is accompanied by the explicit understanding that:
"Individual results vary significantly. This is not a claim of efficacy or safety for any specific user."
a. Plumbing & Leak Risk:
• Use only pressure-rated shower hoses and fittings (avoid thin aquarium tubing or unverified parts).
• Confirm diverter and all fittings are hand-tight plus snug, NOT cracked or cross-threaded.
• Run a 5–10 minute warm-water leak test with nobody in the shower before first cold use.
• Check for any drips, sprays, or bulging hoses; fix all issues before using cold water.
• Make sure any reservoir or container is stable and level, not rocking or ready to tip.
• Keep hoses away from where you stand or step to reduce tripping risk.
b. Electrical Shock / Fire Risk:
• Use only a low-voltage (12V DC) pump powered by a battery or power supply kept completely outside the shower and away from splash zones.
• DO NOT use any pump that plugs directly into a household AC outlet inside the shower or within reach of spray. If an AC-powered pump is ever used, it must be plugged into a properly installed GFCI outlet and located far enough away that it cannot be splashed or reached from the shower.
• Keep all electrical connections inside an appropriate enclosure (such as a junction box) and pointed away from splash zones.
• NEVER touch electrical connections or switches with wet hands or while standing in water or on a wet surface.
• Avoid running the water pump dry (without water) for more than 60 seconds.
• Turn the pump off before putting your hands in the reservoir.
• DO NOT open any electrical junction box or enclosure that houses the water pump or electrical connections while the shower is running or while the pump is turned on.
• If anything smells burnt, sparks, or gets very hot, turn everything off immediately and stop using the System.
c. Cold Exposure / Health Risk:
• Do not use the System if you have heart issues, high blood pressure, or serious health problems unless your doctor provides explicit clearance.
• Start with cool, not extreme cold, and keep early sessions short (around 30–60 seconds).
• Avoid blasting your head, neck, or chest with the coldest stream for long periods.
• Stop immediately if you feel chest pain, trouble breathing, dizziness, confusion, or any severe symptoms.
• For early uses, keep the bathroom door unlocked and ensure someone else is in the home.
d. After-Use “Quick Shutdown”:
• Turn off shower water, then turn off the water pump.
• Allow hoses and components to drain where possible.
• We strongly recommend you take photos and notes for your own records (for reference or if you later consult a professional), but this is optional.
BY ACCESSING OR USING THIS GUIDE, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREED TO BE BOUND BY ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS DISCLAIMER, THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THIS DOCUMENT DOES NOT ELIMINATE ALL LEGAL LIABILITY, AND THAT YOU HAVE SOUGHT INDEPENDENT LEGAL ADVICE IF NECESSARY.
